NHS Updates (IMPORTANT)

Published on May 6 2013 at 10:54 pm

Seniors: We will begin collecting stole money on May 6th, Monday, in P-7, Frau Rovell’s room. Do not turn in money for a stole if you have been notified that you did not make the point deadline. Stoles are for three-year members only. Deadline for turning in stole money is on Wednesday, May 15th. Turn in $20 at Frau Rovell’s room. If you are renting a stole, you will get $10 back when you return your stole on graduation night. All senior members will receive a NHS cord. You do not need to pay for the cord.

Junior and sophomore point deadline is Sunday, May 19th, the day of Walk for Arthritis. This means all donations must be turned in by Friday, May 17th.

Picture donations are a great way to earn points! Turn in 5 decent photos of NHS members volunteering at events to receive 1 easy point. Two max points per semester. Campus Beautification/Waterworks pictures do not count for picture donations. Send your donations in to the historians.

Banquet fees are due next week, Friday, May 10th. If you have received an officer position or you are applying for a cabinet position, you must be present to receive your position. If you are a current officer/cabinet member, you must also attend. Seniors and members are also welcome to attend! This year, the banquet will take place at the Diamond Bar Golf Course.

ALSO: Please sign off your names when putting items into the donation boxes. It has been difficult to keep track of donations because people aren’t writing their names down on the list.

NHS Banquet

Published on April 25 2013 at 9:38 pm

Hi guys!

This year, our NHS banquet will be held at the Diamond Bar Golf Course on Monday, May 27th. The event is from 5:30 to 8 PM. The dress-code is semi-formal. The address is 22751 Golden Springs Dr., Diamond Bar, CA 91765. The banquet will cost $20. We will start collecting money next week, starting from Monday, April 29th, in Ms. White’s Room, B-1. The last day will be Friday, May 10th
Please bring your money sealed in an envelope with your name on it. Then, place the money into the big yellow envelope next to the door and write your name on the sheet attached on the envelope.
If you are selected to be one of the officers or cabinet members, you must be present to receive your position. If you are not present, your position will be given to another candidate. The banquet is open to all NHS members, regardless of whether you applied for cabinet/officer positions. Seniors, this is your last year in NHS, so we encourage you to come! If you have any questions or conflicts, please contact one of the presidents.
Your secretaries,
Christine Hu and Erica Ma
